This classic granola recipe is the perfect way to get a daily dose of fibre and protein, and is the greatest picker-upper during a difficult day at work or between workouts.
Classic granola recipe:
1.Wash your hands.
2.Preheat your oven to 300 degrees.
3.Combine your dry ingredients in the large bowl, with the exception of the dried fruit and nuts. Mix well
4.Combine the wet ingredient in the small bowl, and combine well.
5.Now pour the combined wet ingredients over the mixed dry ingredients.
6.This is the fun part. With your hands, mix the ingredients together till the oats are fully coated with the wet ingredients.
7.Using the spatula, spread the oat mixture on the baking sheet.
8.Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
9.Remove from the oven, turn over oats then replace in the oven for 10 minutes more until lightly browned.
10.Remove from the oven and allow to cool while stirring intermittently to prevent hardening of the mixture.
11.When cool add the dried nuts, fruits and seeds to the oats,and toss together.
12.Store in the airtight jar for 2 to 3 weeks.
