Gym Wear and Clothing

Gym wear

This week I thought I’d devote a little time to what we wear at the gym.  Though our goal is always fitness and health, there’s nothing wrong with showing off your hard earned assets to their maximum effect with some new gymwear.  I’ve got three personal picks for you to consider:

 Top Half:

SUPAwear Sports Club Singlet

Some of you may recognise these vests from the instructional videos I have done over the last few weeks (I got a few questions about it on Twitter).  SUPAwear is an Australian underwear and lifestyle brand and this particular vest is one of my favourites.  Loose enough to allow for maximum mobility but made with enough fabric to avoid the dreaded nip slip when doing your pec flys.

Bottom Half:

Owkay Clothing Black Sweatpants

Sweats are essential for anyone’s gym wardrobe.  This pair by Owkay Clothing come with a fitted cuff on the legs which adds a nice shape in addition to keeping you warm.  Black is always a good colour choice – clean, suitable for any skin tone and doesn’t show dirt or sweat.  If you’ve got muscular legs like myself, these Owkays will give you suitable room for movement but are still fitted enough to keep you looking hench.

ShoesNike LunarGlide 6

If you’ve gone for black sweats or shorts the best way to add a little pop is with some brightly coloured kicks.  As luck would have it, neons seem to be all the rage with the major fitness brands these days.  My pick are the Nike LunarGlide 6.  Comfortable with enough support for both gym and cardio, this style has several variations in their production line and can also be customised.  Don’t be afraid… colour is a good thing.
