SKINS Compression Sportswear

You have all heard of SKINS right? No, not the TV show, but the the compression sportswear company from Australia. After being asked if I wanted to review some products, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity as I wanted to get back into running again.

So I started doing some investigating, as to why SKINS clothing,  might be better than my normal loose fitting vests and  jogger pants. It turns out that up to 10 studies have been carried out by various universities with SKINS –  Their findings shows that  garment development stages, for people of all levels of fitness, can keep pushing their boundaries with technology and compression.

SKINS Compression technology

SKINS insights show that what the body muscles is need for specific muscle groups whilst during static movement, during activity and in post exercise recovery. They have found that muscles movement for comfort and injury prevention, and how to get the best circulatory benefits for more oxygen delivery and reduced lactic acid build-up.

Gradient Compression

Engineered Gradient Compression

SKINS  have engineered Gradient Compression which aims to provide the correct level of surface pressure to specific muscles at their different parts of the body. This enhances circulation and gets more vital oxygen to your active muscles, helping you perform better! Score!

” Circulation also helps to eliminate lactic acid build up and other metabolic wastes during an intense workout.” – SKINS

Warp Knit

Warp Knit

The fabric in SKINS (apart from being silky smooth)  is warp knitted using multiple fine quality yarns to give superior performance.

The fabrics have no natural stretch – instead, the spandex mix ensures specific levels of elasticity and perfectly controlled compression.

When my 3/4 Mens Running Tights  and the Tech Vest arrived. The garments came in very glossy packaging, and it just shows that these products are all about quality and durability.

The clothes have lived up to their exceptions, and they feel so comfortable I can see where the name comes from.
